Rating: 3 [ Like Father, Like Son... ]
The most obvious feature about this figure is the retractable lightsaber that can be pulled out of Anakin's right arm. Many fans will immediately recognize the resemblance to the original 1977 Kenner Luke Skywalker figure which had this same "pull-out" lightsaber feature as well. It would almost seem somewhat appropriate then that the first Anakin Skywalker figure have "inheirited" this feature as something of a tribute to that vintage Luke Skywalker figure that inaugurated the legacy from the Star Wars Early Bird 4 figure mail-away set. Perhaps that was exactly Hasbro's intention however it does nothing for the poseability of this pretty much bland action figure since the right arm must remain fully extended and the hilt of the saber is unproportionally fat to accomodate the retractable blade, as was on the original vintage Kenner figures as well. The torso rotates and the poncho is removeable to reveal Anakin's Rennaissance-like attire underneath. The facial detailing is an incredible likeness of actor Hayden Christensen due in part to the use of Hasbro's Real Scan technology which was applied to laser scan the actors' faces. Accessories include a hand-held laser pistol and a storage box which magically opens when Anakin's hand magnetically slides open the metal container lock to simulate "Force" power. Great idea but poor execution. The locking mechanism slides open so easily that the lid just doesn't stay shut. I can see this as more of a "deluxe" figure. I would prefer a fully articulated sculpt so you can pose him with his saber to recreate his brutal scenes of vengeance. This figure is from Collection 1 and is #1 from Star Wars: Attack of the Clones.

Rating: 4 [ I love it! ]
Wow! I was expecting little fun from this toy, but I was wrong. This is a great action figure. Anakin Hangar Duel has little likeness to the actor. But this Ani has wonderful likeness. I play with this neat little toy everyday. My only complaint is that the lightsaber isn't removable. If it was, I would've given it 5 stars. Oh well! If you are looking for a new Anakin figure for your collection buy this!

Rating: 4 [ Star Wars Ep. 2 Attack of the Clones Anakin Figure ]
This one looks a lot like Hayden Christensen, and even though the Hangar Duel figure is better, this one is still a good quality action figure. The "Outland Peasant Disguise" consists of a poncho that you can put on Anakin, and he also comes with a box you can open by moving his hand over it. I don't remember seeing anything like that in the film, but it makes a good accessory. The small gun that comes with the package is attracted to his hand with a magnet. This proves to be somewhat impractical, but overall, this one is a nice addition to the ever-growing STAR WARS action figures.
