| Amazon Customer Reviews of this item: (Average Rating is 4.62/5.00)Rating: 3 [ Okay ]This toy is okay. The satelitte is very cool. However, Padme is tiny, and she can hardly stand up. Rating: 5 [ Toy Review ] Padme has a nice expression and has a good likness. She's not a hunky figure, her molding is very detailed. So far she's the best padme figure so far! The set also comes with a radar. Press a lever and it explodes! Amidala's a good size for Anakin Hangar Duel too. She'sa happy to be bought! Rating: 5 [ Heck of a lot better than Arena Escape ] After my disgust over the Arena Escape Padmé figure, I was looking forward to this one, and got it with little disappointment. I stumbled upon this figure (along with Anakin Tatooine Attack, Jango Slave I Pilot, Lott Dod, and Darth Maul) during a weekend getaway with my parents and my younger sister. This Padmé has the same posing abilities as the Zam Wesell figure. She is poseable at the head, waist, both arms, both wrists, legs, knees, and boots. This figure is also better scaled, unlike the dwarf appearance of the battle stanced Arena Escape figure. Also included are a small blaster, a pilot's helmet, and a satellite dish that "explodes". The dish is very hard to put together, thus, I have never successfully built it, nor have I really spent the time to try. This Padmé also features a "Quick Draw" action, in which push a pin in her back. There are only two things I don't like about this figure: 1) Her face is almost a dead-on likeness to Natalie Portman, but the figure's face is elongated. But, if you turn the figure to the side, it looks exactly like her. 2) I don't know if mine's defective or not, but her left leg is longer than her right leg. In my opinion, this Padmé is a lot better than the sticking-out-right-arm Padmé Amidala Arena Escape figure. If you stumble upon this figure, be sure to add it to your growing collection of Episode II "movie memorabilia". Also, be sure to watch out this month for the new wave of figures, including the new Padmé Amidala Droid Factory Chase. Yes, it's a new improved version of the Arena Escape figure, which, from what I've seen, looks EXACTLY like Natalie. Mine's in the mail, on its way to me now... |
