This lightsaber has been a life saver...literally. Before I bought one I dueled a kid I went backpacking with every year. Trust me, plastic scars a lot less than driftwood and broken sticks. Other than not getting cut from hits, this lightsaber is more authentic and is retractable. One downside is that compared to the true lightsaber length (1 meter beam and 20-24 cm. handle), this one is very short, making combat even closer than is usually is. This however, is not a big enough downside to lose a star because with a regular dueling partner, you should get used to it.

This lightsaber is great! I really like that it will go into the handle completly! I love the clip because I can attach it to the belt on my obi-wan costume! also it's not heavy to carry around and it wont break easly! These are really good lightsabers!

My six year old spends his allowance on these. They are definitely the most durable of the lot. We've seen just about every imaginable lightsaber model made in our backyard 'battleground'. Usually sooner than later, the fancier ones are broken. This toy will keep them busy for hours as long as there's more than one(!)
